All Things February

Valentines Day was on Sunday so we did not celebrate much but Chris made me my favorite breakfast, Cinnamon raisin pancakes with sausage and he surprised me with some Pink Palmer PJ'S!
The night before was the big celebration. I dressed the boys up in RED, they looked so cute and I insisted Chris and I wear it too...cheesy I know! We got the boys little gifts...Porter got some little moccasins and Trey got Po and Tylong from Kung Fu Panda since that is one of his favorite movies. He loved them and played with them all night long. We did not forget about Jax, he got to help clean up after dinner and was very satisfied! I made Chris a yummy dinner and we made strawberry daiquiris virgin style of course! I gave him his big surprise after dinner....I got him an edible arrangement, which by the way was so mouth watering good and Chris hates chocolate so I did it with white and it was so awfully delicious. The poem attached said...
I love you ”berry” much.
You’re one “peach” of a guy.
You are absolutely “grape”.
You’re the “pineapple” of my eye.
You’re one in a “melon”.
In the “lime”light you should be.
I am “nuts” about you.
Oh “Honeydew” you love me?
You and I are quite a “pear”.
I’ve gone “bananas” over you.
You’re “plum” perfect in every way.
“Orange” you glad our love is true?
Chris finishes his finals up on Wednesday so on Thursday I through him a little graduation party. I got him a big cookie that said, "congratulations on surviving 1st Tri." They spelt Tri.....T-R-Y and it was too late to change it but oh well. Everyone gets a gift for enduring the Tri. We have a theme for each Trimester and this one was, "There will be sunshine." We chose this because I was always wanting summer to come and our saying was.."there is sunshine at the end of the tunnel!" Meaning we can get through this. This Tri was crazy, we moved in, had a baby, and transition into Chris being gone all the time. It was rough but we got through it together and YES the sun did shine and we made it! I got a yellow sweater hence the sunshine and I am really into yellow this year. Chris got wife-beaters for so called "beating me up" by being gone so much. Trey and Porter got monkey pj's for being little monkey's while daddy was at school and oh yes I finally found some snow boots for Treyson! Anyways it was a fun day and we are sure proud of our Daddy!
The lovely yellow sweater
The wonderful "wife beaters"
So tough!
Chris also just got back from Ft. Lauderdale FL. He went there for his first Rugby tournament. They did well and made it to the semi finals but then lost against LIFE. He is enjoying playing and its so fun he gets to travel even though I can't go with him most of the time. While he was there he got to attend a couple of banquets where the Palmer Alumni spoke to them about Chiropractic. He said it was really awesome. Every year the Alumni get together to get there credits for the year. I guess you have to receive so many continuing education credits for so many years after you are a registered doctor of Chiropractic. It's really neat and its awesome that we now have friends all over the world that our Chiropractors ready to help us out when we need it. I am so glad we have our foot in the door so when we are done we have people by our side that know what they are doing. I am so grateful for the Rugby program and that my husband is doing something he loves. He has a great scholarship which is such a blessing. He loves the game so much and how awesome it is that he gets to play and get paid for it!!
Well that's all for now, goodbye February, hello spring time!!

Lovable Day

I guess since its the "luv" month Trey decided to show his love a lot in one day. That morning he was so happy and he kept wanting to give me kisses every minuet. He would just come up to me and pucker his little lips and say, "mommy mmmuuuaahhh"... lean in and kiss me. It was really cute. He has always like to give hugs and kisses but this day it was really excessive. He was going around kissing everything...toys, furniture...what a crazy boy! He even showed Jax some love which he usually is chasing and taunting him..LOL! Out of no where he went over and gave Porter a kiss! I was shocked because this never happens voluntarily. I took advantage of the opportunity to see if Treyson would hold him for the first time and he actually did but Porter was not feeling it. First time for everything right? Treyson immediately started playing with Port's hair with his 2 index fingers. I had to laugh because one my brothers and I (Kody) do the exact same thing. My brother still does it and he is almost 28..LOL! It funny how your kids even develop yours or your families corky habits! Trey is warming up little by little to his brother which is good. I am not sure what triggered the lovable day he had but I hope it happens again soon. What a little goob!

3 Years!

I thought I would hurry and beat Chris to it this year since he wrote about me last year. I can not believe its been three years, it has gone by fast but then again so much has happened. We have lived in 5 different cities, gone to 2 different schools, moved twice, we have 2 handsome sons...wow all this in just 3 years... could not be more happier!
The Lord has blessed or happy marriage with lots of love and laughter.
"We may not have it all together but together we have it ALL"
I thought I just might write a couple of word about my awesome husband. He is just a down right genuine good man. He is very slow to anger and I seriously do not think I have heard him say one bad thing about anybody (besides our President..haha) or gossip about anyone. He is a very patient man, never getting worked up over anything. He's got a big heart, he is kind, gentle, and just a big teddy bear! He makes me giggle with his corny jokes and lovely sarcasm...LOL! He is one of the most dedicated people I know and knows the meaning of hard work, when he has his mind set on something he gets it done and he does it with perfection! He is an example of what it means to turn your heart ache into experiences and character for good. He has such an optimist attitude and has never used his trails as set backs. Chris is a great Father, he love those boys more than words can say. He is a man of God and you can see it in his countenance, he loves the Lord....what more could you ask for? Did I mention that he is GQ HANDSOME! He is so good looking and that muscular body of his is very addicting!! He still gives me butterfly's in my stomach. I love him so much, I am who I am because of his love. What an amazing man he is, he is so good to me! God must have thought I was special to give me such a wonderful husband like Chris! I feel so grateful to even be his wife!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY CHRISTIAN!

Finals Week

The time has come...yes it's FINALS WEEK!
32 credit hours, 7 test, 2 labs!
After this he will have completed his first Tri here at Palmer.
1 down 9 to go.
GO CHRIS GO!
He seriously amazes me on how much work he puts into studying, practice for rugby, and also being a father. He is awesome and I am so proud of him. He is enjoying school so much and everyday he comes home saying how excited he is about the Chiropractic Profession. He says all the stuff he is learning is not necessarily hard because he is fascinated with how the human body works but the load is so much. Sometimes he will have 2-3 test in 1 day and a couple quizzes...it's CRAZY! He seems to be doing very well in all his classes and he really just loves all he is learning. He knows now that he was destined to be a Chiropractor, everything he knows and believes is shining with true colors here at Palmer. I am excited to be along for the ride.
Chris loves his "daddy time" or so he calls it. He is always willing to help with diaper changing, cleaning, and bath and bed time. I don't have to ask him he just does it. He says, "if the only time I get to spend with my boys is to help out a little bit then I will!" He is great I know! Chris usually leaves before the sun comes up and comes home when the sun goes down. He is home just in time for dinner, bath, Scriptures and Prayer, and bed time. This is very different from the past years because since he only worked a summer job he was home 8 months out of the year 24/7! I know it's really hard on him that he is not around his boys as much as wants to be. He was there for Treyson first words, first steps, first everything and he loved it. Since school is so strenuous he is sad that he is missing all of Porter's first or even Trey's new things he is learning, so every chance he gets he is helping out with the boys. He is a great father and his boys adore him.
Here is Chris changing a "mega blow-out" diaper.
Treyson absolutely loves his daddy and loves story time with him. When I do it it's just not the same. Chris really bring the story alive and it has become one of their bonding moments. I hardly ever put Treyson to bed because he always asks for his daddy! Chris never hesitates to have little moments with his sons!
Trey and Chris having story time!
Has it been hard? The answer is yes! We prayed and prayed to know if we should be apart for the summer and we always got the same answer. I hated every second, every minuet, every day of being apart but I know now it was the right thing because it really has prepared me to be a "Palmer Widow." I am grateful now for the time apart because it has helped me to transition into this new schedule..."new life" if you will! Yes, he is gone all the time and when he is here he really is not here because he is stuck in his little room studying! We usually never go to bed together because he is up studying late hours. I feel like a single mom most of the time but nevertheless I know this is only a short time out of our lives. We try to keep the spark alive by leaving one another notes and spending time together when he gets the chance. I miss him, I wish he was here more but I know it will all be worth it in the end! This is the start of our Palmer journey!
I love you Christian, good luck this week!
PS. I am also sad to report that our anniversary for the next 3 years will always fall during finals week...boo!

More Loves...

LOVE hearing my 2 year old laugh hysterically for no apparent reason! He does this quite often but he has since he was a baby. Always laughing even when he is crying. I think he gets that from me. When I was in labor with Trey and Porter everyone was asking me what was so funny and I really could not tell them..LOL! We ask Trey, "what so funny?" He just keep laughing! I LOVE when he gets that full belly laugh going and when this happens he can't stop and usually end with a permanent grin!
One of Trey's normal faces! Full open mouth screaming with excitement!
LOVE this toddler!
LOVE his personality!
LOVE our little man Porter!
LOVE his open mouth smile.
It's hardly ever a grin it's always a full blown huge smile...
LOVE IT!
He thinks I am pretty funny but his Daddy can get him to laugh and smile more than me. He is a happy baby boy!
LOVE those baby giggles!!!
You can not help but to fall in LOVE with Porter.
We can't get enough of him.
Porter is very ticklish, he gets this one from his Dad...the littlest touch just gets him laughing!
LOVE IT!
I have the most cheerful, lovable, smiley, boys on the planet! Bias I know, I know! I get so many compliments on how infectious they really are.
LOVE THEM!

Top 10 Love List

Since its LOVE month and love is in the air...
I thought I would post my 1o loves of the month...

1. The Glorious Vacuum! I listen to my vacuum frequently during the day not just to clean but it works like magic with Porter. Sometimes I cannot console Porter so I just flip the switch on the vac and TA-DA, he stops instantly! The vac and I have become best friends lately!
2. Want some ewe gooey chocolaty goodness, well than Nutella is it! I am so very addictive to this stuff and I think it has added a little to my waist line!..LOL. I can not get enough of it! It does not even last a week in my house. Whoever invented it is a SINNER because now I have with drawls if I go with out it..LOL!
3. Baby vapor bath. This has always been one of my fav's when the babies get the runny nosey and such. It helps them breath better and soothes them during bath time. It always helps my babies sleep better when they are sick.
4. DVR BABY! I do not think I could live with out this thing. It still boggles my mind that you can freeze live TV but I love it. I can record all of my favorite shows and I don't to have my time schedules around the TV. I usually watch them at night when the kiddos go to bed after Scriptures and prayer! Also I can record Trey's favorite shows so when he wants to watch one of them and its not on at that specific time I just hit 2 buttons and there it is!
5. Bumble and Bumble products are so awesome for your hair. I love the tonic because it has so many good vitamins and minerals for your hair and it also works as a detangler. My hair could not go out with this stuff, LOVE IT!
6. The famous Amby Baby Hammock. This is what Porter has been sleeping and he loves it. It has not worked any sleep miracles but it has really taught him how to fall asleep on his own. I bundle him up, give him a Binky, lay him down and that's it. When he moves it moves with him so it puts him back to sleep most of the time when he wakes. Since its weightless he does not get a bald spot on the back of his head, most babies sleep with a lot of pressure on their head so its great for that too. It is very light weight and movable and easy to pack up and take somewhere which I love because during the day he sleeps in Treys room but at night I move him out into our living room. It comes with a jumper for when he gets older and I can't wait to use that!
7. Oxi Clean products has never failed me, if I have a stain it always get it out! With 2 boys and a dog I need good cleaning products that get the job done the first go around!
8. Minuet Maid soft frozen lemonade is HEAVEN! I love love love these things even in the brutal winter. They are so awesome especially when I am on my sour kick. Go get some you wont regret it!
9. LEGGINGS! These have become part of my wardrobe. I love them because they keep you warm in the winter and they are so much more comfy than tights, plus they are so dang cute and I do not have to shave as much!
10. My last love but not least of course our MY BOYS!!! I have the BEST husband ever, the most handsome 2 year old, and the cutest squiggliest 3 month old! These 3 men our the best thing that has ever happened to me! I LOVE THEM!
Now its time for your LOVE LIST in honor of love month!

3 Months!

Our little Porter is 3 months old today! I literally can't believe it! Where has my little newborn gone? I have starting putting away his 0-3 month clothes and filtering to the 3-6 months...sad day:(! He is such a fun little guy and he is always smiling and laughing. He loves to suck on his hands and he is already starting to roll over! He loves to give slobbery wet kisses, oh how I love those gummy kisses! He takes horrible day time naps but his night time sleep is getting better. He was doing like 8-9 hours but when he got sick it went down to 4-5 hours, so we are working on getting back on schedule. His day time naps are horrible! This child just wants to be up looking around instead of sleeping...I have seriously tried everything! Oh well, he has the cute factor to make up for the never napping good;)!
All of the pics of my camera recently got deleted for some odd reason, one minuet they were there and the next they weren't and I had not yet downloaded them...I guess I just need to take more pictures so I don't make myself upset about it...so here are the most recent ones I had on my computer of him....
We do not get his face often but this is the face right before the big pout lip...priceless!
Most of the time we have faces like this...
Smilers!
Enjoying Bath Time
This is one good looking boy...
His smile gets me through the day.
We have a HAPPY HAPPY Boy!
I am so grateful for this little dude! He is more precious than words can describe. I just love him. His laugh, smile, dimples...I just want to snuggle him all day! Children really do grow so fast, before I know it he will be walking!! I am just trying to savor every little cute moment because I know time is just going to fly and I do not want to miss anything! I hope Porter knows how much he loved, I am so blessed to be his mother!

Sunday's

I LOVE LOVE LOVE SUNDAY'S!
1. Its like "Time Out" for me, to get away from the world.
2. It's the only day my husband is home ALL DAY. He takes the boys and lets me sleep in or have a nap when we get home from Church.
2. Its the only day out of the week that I actually get dressed, put make-up on, and do my hair, the rest of the week PJ's are my best friend.
3. Its the only day that I actually get to have a conversation with other women or even adults... usually my company consist of people two and under...enough said!
4. It's the only day that I really get to "be still." You know how life can be so chaotic and its just the day to relax with family, reflect on all your blessing, and to remember the Savior.
Thank You Sunday's! I look forward to them each week.
(Me sporting the Sunday Best)
It's always fun to try and keep 2 little boys happy while preparing for Church. Both of them do enjoy Church music though. When I put it on Porter usually never cries, and Treyson usually tries to sing along. We have the 1pm Church which falls right at nap time...this makes Church hard sometimes but nevertheless its still my favorite day of the week.
Church is about 15-20 minuets away unlike in Utah where it was not even a minuet away....this calls for a lot of planning to try and get out the door on time. We have been doing pretty good, we always try and get to Church about 10 min early so we can wind Trey down and get a good seat...I can't stand sitting the back, I can't see number one, second I just feel I learn more if I sit closer.
(Chris strutting his Sunday Best)
Speaking of SUNDAYS.....
I was called to the Young Women Presidency. I am the now the second counselor and I could not be more thrilled! I love Young Women's...maybe because I still feel like one myself, but I really do enjoy the Young Women Program. I have never had a huge calling in the Church and I would always tell Chris if I were to have one I would want it to be with the Young Women. I just feel like I can relate to them and just enjoy all the fun ages and stages they are at in their lives. I can not tell you have excited I am..plus this mean I get to go to GIRLS CAMP! Yippee! I also am looking forward to spending my Wednesday night at mutual. I was only in Young Women's for a year but I enjoyed it so much and the knowledge I learned there, I have taken with me through the years. I had the biggest support system and will never forget the fellow sister that rooting me on. I pray that I can be an asset to the Presidency and teach these Young Women that they are Daughters of God. I feel this to be a big responsibility but I am up for the task! I have awesome women to work with who all have kids about the same ages as mine which will make it fun. Chris supports me 100% and for that I am grateful. I am so thankful to my Father in Heaven to entrust me with such a great calling. I love the Lord and his Gospel. Oh yes did I mention that I LOVE SUNDAYS!

Hair.Eyes.Skin.Ears

Hair: I finally got my hair done but I regret to say it took the salon 3 times to get it right! It was really an annoying long drawn out process. I know how to do hair but its hard to do your own! I always get the same thing... chocolate brown with little blondie slices on top. I went to the most high class salon they have here and paid a pretty good penny so with those 2 things I expect almost perfection. The salon probably thought I was a hag but you are stepping on touching ground when you mess with a women's hair! I mean my husband even noticed that it did not look right and that is really saying something...he never can tell when I get my hair done! I finally had another girl do it at the same salon and she really did a great job. I love having my hair done even though I hardly do my hair these motherly days..LOL!
Eyes: I am going BLIND and I know its due to me never wearing my glasses. I only wear them once in a while but I think they are just a pain. When driving I can not see the street sign until I get like a foot away and we even have a big flat screen TV and I have to squint to see the guide to change the channels. I know contacts are a pain too so I am wanting to save for lasik surgery...LOL! That would be nice huh?
PS. This pic was back in the day when we were first dating
Skin: The chlorine in the water out here is OUTRAGEOUS! Our Nikken water filters for our shower will not fit on because we have an older home..boo! Therefore, I have to suffer with very dry skin and my kids skin is like peeling off, EW! We are trying to see how we should fix the showers to us our magnetics filters on it but we do not know if its going to work. I am soooo glad we do not have to drink this yucky water... again thanks to Nikken. I mean I know chlorine is in the water for a reason, we would all die if there wasn't but do you seriously think that drinking it and bathing in it is good for you? NO! Also ever since I was like 25 weeks I have had this little white hard bump on my chin. I thought it was a zit at first but its not. It was gotten bigger and bigger and my midwife told me it could be because of my hormones. Its way UGLY and I know people are just looking at it like, "you need to pop that thing!" I looked it up online and it said that it could be like a protein deposit of something. I don't know, anyone else get this while pregnant or breastfeeding? I know I just need to make an appointment with the dermatologist. Gotta love all the "weird" things that happen while your prego!
Can you see it? Bottom left on my chin.
Ears: Chris and I have been wanting to do this ear candling thing for a while now. It's kinda weird but cool at the same time. You buy these tubes at any health food store and you burn the end of it and it creates like a suction effect to get all the unwanted ear wax out. Its really bizzare but it really works!
