Chris and I are pretty picky when it comes to naming our kids. We never pick a name before they are born we always just make a list then when they are born we just see which name fits the best. With Trey our top three names we did not even pick. Trey was at the very bottom of our list and then we just did "son" on the end of it because we liked the way it sounded and because he is our first born son. I could not picture Treyson being anything else but a "Treyson!" Chris loved the name Trey because he said it sounded tough and that Trey was a tough little guy because of how long I was in labor. We always like their name to mean something, especially the middle name. We like to name them after family members, ones that are special to us so then later in life we can teach them about that individual. We also put a picture in their room of the person they are named after. Treyson is named after my Grandpa Poncik. He is such a great man and I really wanted to pass his name down. He never had any kids of his own because he raised us three grand-kids and I wanted his name to stay a great legacy.

Last week was my birthday, the big 24 woot woot! I wanted breakfast for dinner so we had french toast, eggs, and bacon..YUM! I love eating breakfast for dinner, for some reason it taste better when you eat it in the evening. I miss getting excited about my birthday, now it just seems like another day. I remember being little and how I could not sleep because I was so excited about my birthday! I guess that's what happens when you get older. I still do not feel like I am 24. We celebrated with Cake and ice cream. Trey was so cute and smiled the whole time everyone sang to me and he even helped me blow out the candles. He made a huge mess and it was sure funny when he started feeding Jax from the table, I know I know, not good table manners but it was too hilarious. Good ole Jax, I never have to clean up under Trey's booster because of him...thanks Jax! I was sure missing Chris for my birthday but he sent me some beautiful flowers and a sweet love letter and card. The Cutler's gave me Grandma Christensen's decorative pieces for your home. I was really thrilled because now I can decorate my house for every season. Happy birthday to me!
This has been the longest 14 days of my life I think. The move was long and hard but things are getting better. We miss Chris so much even though he's doing well in Austin. Trey has been having the hardest time with the transition. He is waking up in the middle of the night a lot, not all the time, some nights are better than others. I am beginning to realize how much the mother responsibility is, a huge load and can sometimes even be draining. Chris is such a great help with everything and I know I have been spoiled having him around 24/7. I know it's all going to change when the Chiropractic realm begins. I am excited but a little nervous at the same time. I already very inadequate as a mother so how am I going to raise 2 children by myself!?! I love my husband so much and have realized how selfless he really is because of how much he does for our family. He not only works hard for our family but he is always there to give a helping hand. I know sometimes I have taken him for granted but I could never thank him enough for being the BEST HUSBAND! Did I mention that we miss him a lot? Oh yes I think I did! Life with the Cutler's is good and they have been so good to us. I am trying to help them out as much as I can with dinners, cleaning, ect. Trey is enjoying everyone and loves the toys here. Jax has been on cloud nine and Karlee is his best friend. He has found a new bed which is Karlee's room!! HA HA, she does not seem to mind! It's fun to be with the family although I am always thinking about Chris. I am getting used to the food here, gotta love those home cooked meals if you know what I mean! The time is going by more quickly than I thought and I hope it continues to go that way.
She's the woman just behind you at the checkout stand
She may appear to be common but she mystifies
In all the ways the wisest men and children understand
'Cause she has eyes that sparkle with her love
And she has a smile that's as gentle as a dove
And no woman from a movie or an ad could ever hope to be
As beautiful as she
She is not a highly honored diplomat
Held responsible to lead the world to peace
But what she does is every bit as serious
Amidst the turmoil everywhere that will never cease
'Cause she has hands that wipe the tears away
And she has a voice that makes everything O.K.
And no woman from the papers or T.V. could ever hope to be
As indispensable as she
And it breaks my heart every time I see her wonder
If she means anything in this world that pulls her under
And she doesn't always see the way that Heaven smiles above her
That's the reason I try to always tell her that I love her
'Cause she may not be known for giving millions
To the charities and auctions on the news
But I believe she's given more than anyone
In all the times she's ever had to choose
To give up sleep to rock her children every night
And give her heart to always hold their dreams so tight
And the best that you or I could ever hope to be
Is as wonderful as she
And the best that you or I could ever hope to be
Is as wonderful as she.
"The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world." Thomas S. Monson.
Thank you everyone who have been mother figures in my life, you have shaped and helped me be the person I am today, I love you all!
