First, I just want to tell you that I got my camera working, I know miracle to say the least. I soaked it in rice for about 3 days and I guess that did the trick. I notice that it is not as good as taking photos as it was when people are moving but it still works! I was so thankful even though I still might want to upgrade soon. Thanks goodness for my hubbies iphone too to save the day with pics. I seriously thank my Father in Heaven and it just goes to show that he even answers the little prayers like "please help my camera to make it!" So I am not camera-less anymore! YAY!
Halloween was was fun this year. Treyson actually understood it and was so excited. They originally were going to be Spiderman and Batman but when I took the kids to the store they took one look at the transformer costumes and said, "we want to be Autobots!" If you did not know they are in love with Transformers!
Meet our big boy Treyson Bumblebee
Treyson favorite character besides Megatron..LOL! I know Megatron is the bad one but Treyson likes him only because he turns into a plane/jet.
Trey loved his costume so much, well that is an understatement. He was so obsessed with it and would get so excited he would start screaming and squealing when he would get to put it on. Taking it off was the opposite, he would cry so bad and say..."I want to be Bumblebee and save the day!" Precious I know.
Meet our little man Optimus Prime!
Porter was actually scared of his costume at first but he has to be just like his big brother so he let us put it on.
Once he got it on he was so excited about it. "Autobots, Autobots!" Porter also learned to say, "I am Prime!" LOL. He grew to love his costume just as much as Treyson, although he did not like his mask-hat over his eyes at all so he just wore it more up high.
They seriously looked so awesome in their costumes. They loved to look at themselves in the mirror and do actions and play pretend like they were really Autobots..LOL! For real, they were so dang cute!
We love our little Transformers!!
Can't get enough of our little Autobots!
The first party we went to was the Annual Palmer Halloween. It was a little hectic but fun. This is actually where I revealed to all my friends I was prego as well with my skeleton baby shirt. It was funny because some noticed and some didn't. When the people who did not notice at first finally did...well let just say it was pretty funny! They boys got to do a little trick or treating which was fun for them too.
Drum roll please: Treyson won the costume contest again!! LOL, our first year here he won the scariest costume as well just like he did this year. We seriously were not expecting him to win but he did and he got a $20 gift card to Toys R Us.
The second Halloween Party we did was for Treyson Preschool co-opt. I hosted it and it sure was a hit. We played pin the nose on the jack-o-lantern, dance to some Halloween songs, and made scary sounds and noises. I just love little kids, they are hilarious especially when they are all together.
I did not want the Halloween Party to be focused on treats and candy since they would already be getting plenty of that the month of October. All of the snacks I made were healthy and yummy. Some of them I got off Pinterest and other I mad up on my own. The kids loved them. I will be posting it on my wellness hi way blog soon:)
Witches Poison= Grape juice with dry ice.
Killer Spiders= String cheese, organic pb and raisins, and Chinese noodles.
Pumpkin Fingers= Organic carrots, almond pieces Greek yogurt and ranch seasoning.
Shrunken Brains= Raw organic Cauliflower.
Frankenstein Guts= Guacamole Dip with chips.
For the fruit I did
Creepy Ghost= Banana dipped in honey or orange juice then in coconut, with dark chocolate chips and cheerios.
Zombie Teeth= Organic green apples with slivered almonds.
I did made the kids some Halloween cupcakes which they loved as well.
YAY for parties, I love planning them:)
My last Halloween Party was our Stake Youth Halloween Dinner and Dance. I was the only leader that could go which I don't mind because I love Stake Dances. I am always out there shaking it with my girls even though not many of them came. I taught them the thriller line dance which is a MUST during Halloween month. It was a blast!
1st and 2nd ward leaders and girls.
That's it for all the Halloween Parties. There will be more Halloween fun coming your way. Hope everyone has had a great Halloween Weekend!
BOO!
