Reunion

Every other year all of Christensen children and their kids get together for a reunion. This year it was held in Green river at the Cutlers. It took a lot of preparation but it was all worth it, it was a blast. I was glad I was here to help Mama C. because it was a lot of work for just one person. I was happy to help because we actually had a lot of fun making plans, shopping, and preparing food.

Day 1: Everyone just showed up in the evening and we ate dinner and chit chatted with everyone as they arrived. We introduced everyone to the "Adams Family" that night as well.

Day 2: We did lot's of water fun for the little kids and the big kids went and saw Transformers. Trey had so much fun. Carissa and him became the best of friends, she told me..."I really really really like playing with Treyson." Later that night it was Karlee's Suesical Musical (Dr. Sues) performance. We all went as a family and Trey actually did well through the whole thing. Karlee did an awesome job as usual and it was probably one of the cutest musicals I have ever been to.

Day 3: We started off the morning with the fun run and I actually ran, yes me...I hate running but I had not work-out all week so I felt I better get it in while I could. Trey had a fun time even though Tayli kept spraying him with silly string. We came home and had a good breakfast with pancakes and sausage. This day was the most fun because of all the activities we planned. We did a pie eating contest, bobbed for apples, crafts, and games. That night Grandpa C. gave us a great devotional on our family history. He always does the best job with the devotionals. Each family was to come this year with a flag that represented their own family and children, ours was "be thou an example of the believers." Everyone came with great themes that I can't remember them all. I was not told to do one for my family until it was too late but Chris and I have been working on "Our PRICE Family Mission Statement" for this year, we are not done with it but once it is I will keep you posted. After a spiritual note we wanted to do something fun so we played jeopardy. Cody and Cami did a great job on the game. I had to leave early to meet up with my friend Jodi that was coming in from St. Gorge but I heard that Lance and Melinda's family are the ones who won...Go Christensen's!

Day 4: This was Martin Cove's Day! We took a risk in going up because it was pouring rain all morning. By the time we got there it let up a little bit but then it started coming down again. It was a on and off the whole day. When we got our handcarts it starting raining so hard and Trey was not in a covered handcart at first. He was soaking wet by the time I got him in a covered one and he would not stop crying because he was so cold. I had to have the little hover car come and get us because he just kept screaming. Karlee was not handling it well at all so she came back too. I felt really bad for them but I thought to myself if I was really on the Trek I would of had to endure it no matter what! It was a humbling moment to think of all the Mom's who did it. Lot's of them buried their children...I could not even imagine! When we got back to the visitors center they told us that I could dry his clothes in the gathering room. They were the sweetest people to us. Melinda had to stay back too because she only had 3 month old baby Jacob. We all hung out until everyone got back. I kinda felt bad that I was not able to do it with the family but I have been to Martins cove before and was able to experience it a couple of years ago. When everyone returned we had a little meeting, then a family prayer, and then we said our goodbyes and adjured for 2 years.

It was a wonderful reunion! I look forward to the upcoming one so Chris can be there to enjoy it with us. He was able to go to the last one but not this one. It's crazy to think how 2 years goes by so fast but we are grateful for the memories that we make while doing these reunions every other year. I am so grateful for families and that we can come together and enjoy each other in Faith and Fun!

Daddy's Day

We are missing our "Daddy" on fathers day today!  I am so grateful for Chris and the role he plays as a Father.  He is the best Dad and I know he loves both of his little spuds so much!  He is a leader and I grateful that he honors his Priesthood.  He works so hard to support our family and never complains.  He is a loving and is such a great example to our son!  We miss him so much, yet we are so excited to see him in a couple weeks.  We love you "daadeee!"
I also want to give a shout out to all the other fathers out there that have blessed my life.  Fathers are so important and I am so thankful I had good examples in my life to follow.

Here comes the rain, YEAH!

Who says that rainy days are no fun? It has been rainy a lot here in Wyoming so we decided to make the best of it one day instead of staying inside. It was seriously so much fun! It reminded me of that song you know..."just singing in the rain, just singing in the rain, what a glorious feeling were happy again!" Trey enjoyed it so much even though it was really cold. It was the cutest thing, he was just laughing, splashing, and running everywhere! Usually Jax hates the rain but since Miss Karlee was out there he had to be right by her side. We had a splashing contest but I have no idea who won because we were just having such a great time. I love my sisters and the "little girl" they bring out in me. These are the memories we are going to remember, the simple ones of just randomly turning a boring day into a fun adventure!

Perfect Little Guy

I know most everyone thought I was having a girl but we are having ourselves another baby BOY! I felt it was a girl because this pregnancy has been so different, but I think in the back of my mind I knew it was a boy, not to mention I had 2 dreams it was a boy. I also had a dream that I would have 2 boys first! I am really in the the Chinese Charts because for Trey it was correct but I knew with this one because it was at the end of the month that it could go both ways! During the ultrasound we were looking between the legs and did not see anything at first so she said it might be a girl, then the baby moved and BAM there it was the little "turtle head." She said it's a little boy and I immediately got really excited. It just seem like "duh" of course it is, it just seems perfect that I would have 2 little boys. I kinda became overwhelmed thinking about how much I would have my hands full but I felt lots of joy knowing that heavenly father is blessing us with another little boy.  I think Heavenly Father was being smart to send us another boy because he knows how poor we are going to be when Chris starts school and now we wont have to buy anything because we have mostly everything. I was going to send Chris a little gift whatever it was but I was just so thrilled that I could not wait, so I called him and told him the news. He thought and wanted Trey to be a little girl and with this one he felt the same but when I told him he was just as happy as I was and said, "my 2 little spuds, how awesome!" He actually sold 2 that day and told me it was because he found out we were having a BOY! Trey is going to be an awesome little brother and I know they will be best friends.
Our son is healthy and strong! Everything looked great and they said I was right on track for my due date. What an amazing thing it is to bring a child into the world. We can't wait to meet him!

Tuesday Emails

Every Tuesday Chris and I write each other "love letters" so to speak. We were inspired by the book "The Wednesday Letters" and thought it would be cool to do over the summer while we are apart. It has been really awesome because I feel it has brought us closer and kept us from feeling so lonely. He always writes the cutest things and knows how to make me smile. Sometimes they are only a couple of sentences and sometimes a couple of paragraphs, but they are always heart felt. I look forward to getting one each week and I know he does too. He tells me "they keep him going," and I know they absolutely keep me going.
When Trey asks for his daddy I just tell me that he is not here right now but he sure does love him very much. I ask him to say "daddy" once in awhile so he wont forget. It's so cute because when I ask him if he misses his dad he always gets a sad face and starts to mumble like he is saying "ya I do!" Watch the video and see, this video is for you wubby!

I am so thankful for my little family and the joy they bring into my life. We miss Chris soo much but we are going out to see him in July and we are counting down the days! TAP TAP TAP! XOXOXOXOXOX (From Me), xoxoxoxoxox (From your son)!

Proof

Well here comes the belly bumps...17 weeks and counting! I have already felt the baby move, it's so crazy! It feels like little bubbles or something like that. I am getting more excited as time passes on but a little nervous when I think about having 2! I know Heavenly Father is blessing our family and for that I am truly grateful.

I just love watermelon! I am not sure if I crave it every day because I look and feel like a watermelon of if it's just a pregnancy thing...ha ha! With this baby its seems that is all I want is fruit and sweet things. I feel great, besides the fact that the toilet seat has become my new best friend...I literally go pee 15 times a day, oh the joy's of being pregnant! It seems like my bladder has shrunk since I had Trey or something. I have tons of energy though, feel awesome, and I am getting all the things done on my summer "to-do" list.

The Fights

About a week ago my good friend Nick called me up and asked me for a hair cut. We had not talked in forever and I found out that he was the announcer for the "World of Fist." This is a fighting company that one of the guys I graduated with started up in Rock Springs. He asked me if I would go and take pictures for him and he would give me a free ticket. I told him sure I would but then he said that I would be sitting in the very front by myself so I told him that I did not think that was a good idea. Then he offered me 2 free tickets in the bleachers and said I could take a friend and still take pictures for him. I decided to take Tayliann and Mama C. watched Trey for me.
Nick's Dad which happens to be our Bishop of the ward came to support him. He sat by us and even bought us nachos and candy, we did not even ask him! He is so nice and an awesome Bishop. Nick actually did an awesome job announcing and I think it surprised us both. He really sounded like a professional sports announcer!
Tayli and I had a thriller time. I was definitely missing Chris, he loves the UFC fights. In Logan most his buddies at the gym are really into the fights so we would always go over and BBQ when a good fight was on. I never really got into it much at all but watching it live is really different, your adrenaline is just pumping the whole time.
Some of the fights were crazy, especially when the women fought. I was just thinking to myself.."their poor face!" It takes a whole lot of women to have the courage to do that. The other crazy thing is that I knew most of the fighters, one of the girls who fought dated my brother, some were in my grade or went to the same school, and others I knew from Rock Springs. I think that is what made me get into it more too because I knew some of them at a personal level.

The main fight was a re-match against Nick Mamilis and Olly Bradstreet. Mamilis and I have been friends since grade school and our families know each other pretty well. Tay is also friends with his little brother. He has basically been a state championship wrestler since he was 5! Olly's record is supposed to be really good as well but we could not help but cheer Mamilis on. He ended up winning by choke hold. It was awesome! Chris told me I had to tell him all about it, he would have love to have been there. He said he would take me to a professional one in Vegas one time. I miss him so much! Anyways, it was a fun night and this sport of ultimate fighting boggles my mind but it sure is entertaining!
