Well, I am not even sure where to begin...we finish up this tri at the end of February with Christian taking his 2nd part National boards in March. I don't even know the words to describe this tri, but it has been one heck of a roller coaster, very busy, and draining! Chris is in clinic now where he gets to work with student patients and family members. He is really loving it even though he is beyond busy! He gets a lot of his patients from the Rugby players which is good for his numbers. He has to have 50 student adjustments and then 200 non student adjustments. He plans on studying abroad in 9th tri so this will be a great opportunity to get those numbers. We are not sure where he is going yet but he can't wait to go just for the experience and to bring Chiropractic to other parts of the world! The student clinic is only open during the evenings so this makes for a very long day. Every night Chris does not get home until 8 or 9 pm! Christian packs all his stuff the night before and always hangs his clinic coat and dress attire (he has to wear a collared shirt and tie in clinic) in the kitchen so he can just grab it and go since he is gone by 530-6am. 7th tri necessarily is not hard book wise just very busy work, especially when it comes to clinic paper work...oh the paperwork..LOL! Lets not forget as well that he has Rugby practice twice a week with games usually on the weekends that require him to be gone. He also has had lots of seminars this tri which take up most of his weekends and also require him to be away. Oh and did I mention he works a part time job too? Yes needless to say, we sure miss our Daddy! The boys NEVER see him, I mean NEVER! They are still in bed by the time he leaves and have gone to bed for the night by the time he gets home. Poor Treyson thinks his Daddy lives somewhere else because in his mind he knows that we go see Daddy at school and work but he never sees him at home. He is always asking me, "Can we please go see Daddy at him home?" It honestly breaks my heart and Chris's too. I mean if you think about it he kinda does live somewhere else, he is at Palmer way more then he is at home..LOL! They were not kidding when they said "welcome to the Palmer Widow life" and "they really are married to the school more then you!" Chris has been asking me to keep the kids up later just so he can come home and read them a book really fast and put them to bed. When I read them their nightly book they always ask for Daddy and get upset when he is not there. To tell you the truth I am not sure it is going to get less busy or any easier so we are just trying to enjoy this journey of being a "Palmer Chiropractic Family" as we can.
We usually throw Chris a "tri party" after each tri but honestly, he is just never home for us to give him one and celebrate. Nevertheless we are grateful for his efforts and its fun to mark one more tri done! We do not give a mark until the tri is completed so this picture shows he has completed 6 tri soon to be 7!! YAY, not too much longer!
Back in November, Chris has his white coat ceremony. This is where they receive their white "doctor" coat to be officially inducted into the Palmer Clinic.

Dr. Christian Price, D.C.
I love saying and writing that:)
I would honestly be lying if I said this "palmer life" is not hard! I never thought it was going to be this difficult but it is very challenging. I guess it is more rough on our family because Chris does have rugby and works a part time job, if he did not have those things it would be a lighter load on our family for sure. We could not do it financially with out Chris having to work and his Rugby scholarship pays for half of our school as well. I think it is stressful for both of us. Chris slaves away at school all day, then he has clinic or rugby, then he has a seminar, rugby game, or works on the weekends. Then there's me, I am at home taking care or kids, making sure they are happy and fed, tending to the responsibilities of the household, working teaching Zumba, doing ICAA stuff, ect. I guess your seeing a pattern here, we are extremely beyond overloaded. It's hard to find time for each other let alone as a family. I also feel like I miss out on all the fun stuff like when my friends do "girl nights" and I can't go because my hubby is gone and I have my kids. I do feel like there is no me time but then I look at Chris and he has no me time either. It gets very depressing and overwhelming at times. I really do feel like a single parent. I often ask myself, "did I really sign up for this?" Working out as become my saving grace. A dumbbell and Zumba have become my psychiatrists. I know others have worse situations then me but like I said I am not going to sugar coat on how hard this has been on our family! I guess being pregnant does not help my emotions at all. I find myself crying for no reason, feeling sorry for our family, getting angry more easy (which is not like me), ect. I have been praying a lot to keep me sane and to have the right perspective. I know this is only a short time and it too shall pass. Some days are better then others and other days I want to just scream!! These times are rough but I know that we can get through them. I try my best everyday to have a good attitude and to just strive to be better. I have come to accept that this just comes with the whole "Palmer family package." Our Father in Heaven has truly blessed us so I do try and count our blessing, and recount if necessary! I know the best is yet to come, I believe it wholeheartedly! Sometimes we have to make sacrifices for a greater outcome and although at times its frustrating, I know it will be worth it!
Going to visit Daddy at school is a weekly thing. The boys love those adjusting tables when they get to go into the clinic, oh do they love them! They know that Daddy is learning how to "fix bodies!" and that he will be a "chirotractor" one day.
The boys had their first appointment with their Daddy Doc this past week. It went pretty well. These boys are very well known in the Clinic, let just say that:)
Oh 7th tri, you have been a brutal one but we are enduring you well! I love my husband and I could not be a more proud wife. His presence his missed on a daily basis but I know it for a good cause why he can't be around. He is preparing our future for us and he takes that very serious. He provides for us without complaining. We could not make it without him and we love him so very much. He is a exceptional husband and father. I know he will make an awesome Chiropractor!!
