It's halfway through January and I am still writing about the Holidays, I know I am a slacker! I would spread out our adventures more but I am so behind that I am just doing it in one big post. Anyway, the day after Christmas we made the long 10 hour drive from Ft. Lauderdale to my grandparents house in Milton Florida. We arrived in the late evening and did a little Christmas celebration with some dinner and present opening.
The boys got lots of goodies!
They were both spoiled rotten!
We got some pretty cool gifts too. Christ got hooked up with some BEARS attire and I was given some pretty good books on raising boys and health and wellness.
Treyson loved the Grinch and my Nanny has this Santa Clause Grinch that sings the Grinch song. Its really cute and Trey certainly out played it.
The boys also got cute Christmas Jammie's!
It was a great "after" Christmas with my family. I love all of them all so much. All of them play a huge part in who I am.
left to right- Kody, Kirby, Papa (Bob), Chris, Me, and Nanny (Pat).
We ate lots of yummy southern food while at my grandparents. You just can't say no to any of it..LOL! One of my favorite breakfast that my Nanny makes is biscuits with tomato gravy, bacon, and cheesy eggs. YUM!
Also I learned in the south if you do not want flies to come in your house then you fill a Ziploc bag half way with water and put 4 pennies in it. Weird I know, but the people down here swear by it!
Treyson and Porter had such a good time and Nanny and Papa's house. They were in toy land and ate far too much candy but that what happens when you are at grandparents house right?
Porter loves music so he loved the play guitars that they got for Christmas. He would push the button then then start dancing. He might be my musician when he is older.
Treyson got a box full of so many cool toys, hulks, teenage mutan ninja turtles, robots, dinosaurs, really any boy toy you can think of. Like I said SPOILED!
The kids really had fun playing with their Nanny. They love her.
These boys, can't live with them yet you can't live with out them!
They got this Caterpillar crawl thing that opens up into a tunnel so you can crawl through it. This was a really fun toy for them. Back and forth, back and forth, and sometimes even fighting over who's turn it was. LOL.
Bath time there is always fun too!
The weather there was perfect so we played outside a lot. There was so many outside toys to play with from cars, to wagons, and swings. Unfortunately we did not have room to take these things back home with us.
The boys sure love to swing!
Trey was in love with on of my grandmas dog. His name is Tebo and he is a Pomeranian. He is a feisty little thing but Treyson just loved him.
My Papa thought it would be funny to try his mullet hat on the boys...LOL! It was funny and they defiantly looked like southern boys then:)
My Nanny loves her birds and she can do anything with them. They know all sorts of tricks and can talk really well. Trey also liked them. He did not learn very well and got nipped at a couple times.
She also has a pet squirrel, Charlie. When he was little he was hurt and my Nanny took care of him so he comes back to visit from time to time. My Nanny can hand feed him or she just leaves him a little pile of nuts to pick up and eat. It just shows how much love my grandma has for any kind of animal.
One animal that was not wanted was the rats. It was pest season and my Pops was mouse trapping so many of them. Trey did not know what to think. Gross!
Of all the animals that my Nanny loves, her dogs are her babies. There are 4 total, 3 of them are Poms and one is Yorkie. There names are Sophia, Mac, Tebo, and Sam is the Yorkie. They are treated like kings and queens.
My twin brother Kirby lives with my Nan and Pops while he is going to school. He has a special relationship with my Nanny. We all do. Never met a greater women, period.
We had tons of fun with my brothers and played lots of card games.
We would stay up late playing games or just chatting.
I LOVE MY BROTHERS!
We have a very close and great relationship. The "GALEA" Posse. It's amazing the older you get the more you appreciate you siblings. They are not prefect and are very different but I could not ask for better brothers.
My older brother Kody works for a great company as an inspector. His lives with his girlfriend Dana which I really like her. She is almost done with her special education degree and will be teaching soon. You all know the Price family has a special place in our hearts for children with Special needs.
We played Wii Sports a lot. My grandma smokes Chris at bowling..LOL!
We went out to eat at Texas Road House...YUM, one of our favorites.
We are so did the traditional SUSHI night. We went to Fuji's this time and they have these little cute Japanese Rooms you can sit in with a small table. They seriously were so cute!
I want one of these room in my dream house one day. Chris said he would put it on the list..LOL!
They even had these little cute cushions you can sit on. I was seriously in love with this little room and all the detail that went into it to give you the most Japanese sushi experience.
Of course the boys made a mess but were loving the fried rice and edamame.
It was exceptionally good. We went during happy hour which means you get half off each roll so we ordered about 15 rolls and tried some that we never had before:)
Again, it was nice to spend some quality time with my siblings.
My TWINNER, Kirby!
Kibbles and Bits is what we call him. I love him and am so proud of the changes he has made in his life recently.
We had to snap pics of just the gals too.
Dana, Me, and Carrol.
Porter was making everyone laugh halfway though dinner with his high pitched cheesy squeals.
Treyson was too but he was more concerned with the fish pond in front of the restaurant.
It was a late night for us and we were worn out, especially Christian.
We also went to the movies. We saw Tron because Chris loved it as a kid and had been dying to see it. It was a pretty cool movie.
The night before we left. We all went out to eat as a family.
Later that night we went and saw my sister Shannon (we have the same Dad). Chris wanted to stay home and sleep with the boys since we were getting up around 1am to get on the road. I had all my stuff packed up so I had to go over in my Pajamas. I was so nice to see Shannon and her little boy Ethan. He has gotten so big and its almost 5 years old.
When people see our sister they always say, "is that really you sister!" She is really tall, Blondie hair, blue eyes, very pretty of course. She looks exactly like her Mom and I am a spitting image of mine. We really don't have a lot of our dads traits so that's why we look nothing a like. She is awesome though, and I love her.
We played Wii dance the whole night. This is totally the game for me and my sister. We had a blast!
Even my brothers played and it was very entertaining to watch them. They were breaking a pretty good sweat..LOL!
We had so much fun. I miss my sister Shannon and I wish we lived closer so we could spend more time together. I am not sure I could ever convince Chris to live in the South and I do not necessary like it either..LOL. I think since we do not get to see each other as often as we want that he time we do spend together is treasured more. I love you Shannon!
Before I had to take off we all took a group shot in front of the Tree. This was a great way to end my vacation. With the people I love.
Well, that it for the Holidays in Florida. YAY, for the Holidays!
