On May 22 and 23, the Palmer College of Chiropractic Men's Rugby Club (Davenport Campus) qualified for the USA Men's Division 1 Final Four National Championship at the USA Division 1 Men's Nationals Top 16.
The Palmer ruggers beat the Philadelphia Media 64-8 and the Norfolk Blues 36-24.
The championship will take place in Glendale, Colorado, on June 5 and 6. Palmer, Belmont Shore, Las Vegas, and Life made the final four this year. They will play Belmont today at 7 pm at Infinity Park.

I am writing your from Denver as I speak. It was a long 12 hour drive with the kids. They did better then I thought but it still felt like 20 hours..LOL! We arrived late Thursday and Chris's family came last for the team dinner put on by the Alumni. More family is coming today..yay! We also have some friends coming to support Chris. He will have the biggest cheering section I think...we are his BIGGEST FANS you know! Chris will be going back with the team on the bus to finish up finals and I will be going on to Wyoming and Utah. After finals he will drive up with the Pulous's since they will be going the same way.
We are super excited for Chris and to be apart of this great legacy with the Palmer Rugby Team. Chris is play very well. He is a prop and one of the biggest ones they have. He is playing so good that his coach qualified him to play for the state team division and he also put his name down to be watched this weekend by the USA team... which he only picked a couple guys on the team, so that is awesome. Chris is so modest and says, "I guess I am playing better then I thought I was." Um, yeah! This is only his first year of playing from taking 3 years off so he is doing really really well for a "freshman." It so nice that he is on scholarship to play...he loves it and you can tell!
He is the only member of the Church on the team and the ONLY one who does not drink or smoke. This has been a great blessing to our family. The team respects him and looks up to him as a great example. They tease him a little and tell him his "boxers" are too long..LOL. Also the saying on the team for Chris is.. "WWCD (What would Christian do?)" instead of "WWJD (What would Jesus do?)! When making decisions on the team or choosing what to do that night they also ask, "WHAT WOULD CHRISTIAN DO" in this situation?" LOL! It fits perfect because his name has the word "Christ" in it.

LOL Kerri, my husband's friends used to use the same phrase on him "What would Christian do?"
It used to make him embarrassed to have people looking up to him, but then I told him the name basically means "member of Christ's church" so basically they are asking what a good christian church member would do!
It is such a blessing to have good men around--especially when you have sons!
