Awesome Birthday & Mother's Day to Me!!

I honestly has the best birthday this year! We kicked it off with a girls night out with some of my besties! $1 Sushi you cant beat that! These little boats come around with sushi and its 2 rolls for a dollar!! Can't beat leaving a sushi place only paying 4 bucks!
Next stop was for dessert and it we went to Yogurtz. I had never been there before! It seriously was heaven and there were so many flavors to try. Its was hard to decide. I went with the dark chocolate coconut and vanilla bean. They have over 100 toppings! It  is my new favorite place. They also have sugar free options with stevia. Talk about my kind of place.
The whole gang!
Lila and I were the birthday girls. Her birthday was a couple days before mine. Love this girl. We have become good friends through Zumba. Im grateful to call her my friend.
Not quite ready for our photo opt...
YAY for the Birthday girls!!
Yup, this is the real us!! LOL! Such a blast!
Next, my 2 good friends Ash and Bri spoiled me! They took me out to my new favorite place Kneaders and told me to pick whatever I wanted. For real, they have the most delectable desserts. I went with the chocolate cup cake and we all shared the butter finger Carmel apple. YUM!
Then I got surprised pampered with getting my toes and nails done. Poka-a-dot toes and Nude mustache nails! So cute! Honestly I felt so loved! I love my gal pals!
Pedi and Mani night would not be real with out a glass of sparkling cider! A toast to 28! It feel pretty good. Happy birthday to me.
On my birthday I awoke to my boys singing loudly, "Happy birthday dear Mommy!" They made me breakfast but gave me an empty plate of food because they said they got too hungry ..LOL! Its the thought that counts right? They made a cute little card and it was just so sweet. I am so blessed!  Herc got me a full hour massage (mothers day gift too) and lunch date at Kneaders of course! My 28th bday was so so so awesome.
Mothers day is always a special one and I love that my birthday is so close to it because really for the month of May, Im kind of a big deal...wink!

We had a fantastic  Sabbath. Christian spoke and gave a wonderful talk about "Families in the Covenant " Everyone was coming up to him saying how awesome of a job he did and the great spirit he brought with him as he delivered it. Honestly I only got bits and pieces because I was keeping down my herd on my own. I reflected a lot on my own mothers in my life and how much I appreciate them. The ward put on a Mom's Ice cream social after the block of meetings.
These 3. These boys. These brothers are the very reason I get to rejoice in Mothers day!
It's hard to express into words my true raw feelings when it comes to mothering these sweet little boys of mine. I hope they know how much I love and adore them. Each one comes with his own package of unique personality and there is never a dull moment. Even on the no good very bad days (and we have had a lot of those lately) I still thanks my Father in Heaven that He chose me to be there Mama:)
Happy Mothers day to all!

YAY for my birthday and Mama's day! It seriously was the best yet!!

Dating MY Husband Again!!

Its been a long time coming but I finally can date my husband again. In Palmer it was really hard to do this because first he was just never around. Gone all the time. Palmer life is busy also so we just could never find the time. Yes it was really hard. We really never got time together especially since we had children too. I mean, we would still do little things here and there but it was nothing like before. Well now I can say that we are totally making it a priority since now his weekends are mostly free.

Yes Christian is still gone a lot. He gets up at 5 am to head to the gym then has to be to work by 8 am. He usually does not get home until around 6-630 and sometimes 7 or 8 pm when he has to teach his new patient class. Building a business is hard and strenuous an it can be on a marriage if you let it. Yes, I am have been overwhelmed at times but I have always got my eyes on our goals. Christian makes goals every week and he hits them or exceeds them. He is doing awesome. The only difference now is our lives or more predictable.  On the weekends when he does not have marketing and seminars he get to be home with us which is a first in a long time. Instead of being in clinic, working and have Rugby commitments his energy now can be focused more on his marriage and family. So we spend time together as a family but we are really are trying to focus on us too and rekindling out dating relationship.
It’s not always easy remembering the necessity for dating in marriage, and staying creative in your planning can definitely a challenge especially for Christian. I feel you now have the advantage though of knowing what’s significant to your spouse more intimately than ever before. If you are at all like me, there’s something both intriguing and invigorating when it comes to making plans for a date--with excitement at the mystery and opportunity, its just so FUN! We have Challenge ourselves to be creative, and tackle it with the mentality that it’s a fun mission to make the most of your marriage. I look at  getting to spend quality time with my spouse doing something fun is an honor and privilege especially since we did not get to do it for so long.

"Dating your spouse is the best kind of dating. Your just 2 people who are committed, in love and enjoying the journey together. It's where the old meets the new, the ripe meets the fresh! Friendship collides with romance and something already beautiful once again blossoms  It's falling in love over and over again with the same person." --Ashley Mcllwain

To me marital dating is way better then when we were not married. there’s no awkward moments or gaps in conversation. There’s no pressure to perform or be clever. There’s no pretense, no scrutiny, and no facade. It's just you and him dating because you are still so smitten over each other. Sometimes I feel why couples struggle so much is because they don't date each other and when they do they do it begrudgingly. When we did not have time for that many dates we would just remind ourselves of the bigger picture and that it too will pass. We kept our marriage strong in other ways but dating really keeps it strong and alive. Ladies date your husbands and Men date your wives!

The other weekend he asked me out on a date. It was so cute. He said to "get all gussied up so he could take his hottie out on the town!"
Honestly its nice to get dressed up since most of my days I am in my gym clothes and don't get the time to change until its time to go to bed. Christian loves my hair curly so I did it that way just for him.
We went to Cheesecake Factory. Its been years since we went and it was so yummy!
We splurged with avocado rolls, chicken little and dutch apple cheesecake. Delish! We had a lovely whipped cream fight just for fun and giggles.
After we did a little shopping and love to try on the clothes together...haha! We love to do a little smooching while were at it. Love peoples faces when we come out of the dressing room together. Its legal, were totally married! LOL! **WINK** One thing for sure is we know how to keep the spice in our Marriage. Seriously it was much needed to just be away for a while just me and my Hercules. Love him to the moon and back.

Since he is gone all day we try and have lunch with him once a week or once every 2 weeks. Sometimes I get a babysitter so its just me and him. The other day we got to shoot some video footage (staring us) for marketing purposes for the office. We went to Kneaders for brunch. Seriously its our new favorite place. We became loyalty members since that how much we love it. Even our little mini dates mean so much.
No we are not perfect and this is all a still working progress. When you have not done it for so long it needs to become a habit still. Happy to be dating my Hercules again!

If you choose wisely and if you are committed to the success of your marriage, there is nothing in this life which will bring you greater happiness.
