Finally highlights from FL!

I just want to say how grateful I am for the time I got to spend with my family. I wish Chris was with me but it had been long overdue since I had a good visit with my fam and it was awesome! We did so many things in a short amount of time and we really did have a blast. Here are some highlights of the trip......

Spoiled...My Nanny spoiled Trey so much! They had a great time together and pretty much anything Trey wanted he got. Trey loved the swing so they would swing together and make funny noises. My Nan also had every toy you could think of in the book for little Trey. He was never board, she was fully prepared and stocked for his coming. She had every good Disney movie that he liked and all the books and puzzles that he loves to play with too. Every night after dinner she would give him a little ice cream cone, after a while its what he looked forward too after dinner each night. He also loved to play on her bed, my grandparents have a great big bed and he just thought it was the coolest thing to play on. She has these little stairs that her dogs get up on her bed with and he just thought it was so grand to go up and down them and then jump on her bed! Talk about SPOILED, but hey what hare great grandmas for? He really loves her and it was so nice to have a break once in a while. She watched him for me quite a bit when I would hang out with my Bros which was nice. Thanks, Nanny!

Birds...These are my Nan's birds, Abby and Louie! They are very smart and talk a lot. The gray one can say complete sentences and is really funny. The green one does cute things but quacks a lot. Trey liked them but we had to watch him so they would not bite him. He liked to shake their cages....all boy what can I say! My nan also has 4 dogs that I did not get a shot of them but they are fun and Trey liked them but I am not so sure they liked him...haha!

Pool...My Nanny got Trey this little blow up pool, it was so perfect for him. He loved it! He pretty much played in it everyday. It was so hot outside that he could only be out there for about 45 min at a time. He would just splash and splash, then laugh and splash some more. He always wanted someone to be outside with him so let me tell you I was one HOT MAMA, literally! 110 degree weather does not agree with a prego women very well...haha! We would tell him, "Trey go do a body slam," and we would start from clear on the other end of the yard and run as fast as he could and do a belly flop in the pool. He did it over and over and I was thinking to myself that it might be hurting him but he kept wanting to do it so I just watched and laughed! I love my little boy, he is such a crazy little goober!

4th of July...We started off my cooking out with some smoked ribs, baked beans and coleslaw, traditional southern meal of course! It was so yummy. My Uncle Rob came up to spend the fourth with us and to spend a couple of days with the the family. We went downtown Milton to watch the fireworks, boy was it hot! I remined myself why I don't live in the south...because it too dang hot even at night you are dying! Anyways, besides that it was fun and Trey loved the fireworks. He would clap his hands and say, "WOW!" He had sweat dripping from his forehead but still a happy camper and loves his Uncle Kirby!

The creek float...This was really fun and is a great family activity. It's called the cold water creek float and it takes about 3 to 4 hours. The water is really really shallow so you can do a tube, boat, whatever ever you want really and go down the creek. The water feels so good because it is nice and cold and with the Florida weather it makes it that much better. My brother Kody, Kirby, Uncle Rob and I all went and had a good time. I stayed on the boat most of the time with my Uncle Rob while the boys floated. I floated the last part because I was getting really hot! It really awesome because its just kinda like a "chill" float and people stop along the sandbars to grill out or eat lunch. What a great day!

Navarre Beach...This was an interesting day. Last time I took Trey to the beach he hated it because the waves scared him but I thought since he was older he would like it better....WRONG! He hated it just as much. He was really terrified of the water but loved the sand. He wanted nothing to do with the water he just wanted to play with his buckets and sand. He was actually was doing belly flops in the sand and eating it but my camera ran out of batteries so I could not get any good photos. He just wanted to sit between my legs or for me to hold him. Nan even brought him a floaty but he still did not want to use it to go in the water. My Nan used it instead, haha! A little boy got stung with a jelly fish while we were there so I am glad now that he did not want to go in the water. Oh well maybe when he is a little older!

Fishing....We went to Carpenters Park to take Treyson fishing. Wow it was another hot day! Trey was kinda fussy the whole time because he wanted to do everything by himself. He wanted to whack the water with the poll and we know that that scares the fish away. We played on the playground and I was so proud of him, he got so good at the slide he was doing it all by himself after a while. It was really cute. After awhile he wanted to jump into the water and we kept trying to distract him but it was not working. Finally he jumped in with his dry clothes and everything, little stinker! Its not really water you want your little one in so by that time we decided we better go home and get him a nap. He did not want to leave and threw a huge tantrum. My Nan got him addicted to Dr. Pepper while we were there so she gave him some to make him feel better...haha! He was really tired and fell asleep on the way home.

Quietwater Beach...I had a thought that Trey might like the Bay side of the ocean because it is calm so I decided to try the beach one more time. I was right, he love it. We went to a beach called Quietwater Beach aka Mother's Beach! All the Mom's take their kids here because it is so calm and very shallow. Its a nice view because it is right off the board walk. Trey had a blast, of course he was doing body slams again! He was making me nervous because he was putting his head under the water but he would come right back up so I just watch him really close. It was so cute because he would like bear crawl all over the water and keep his head above the water and all the little guppy fish would come up to him thinking that he is food. He wanted me to swing him so I did and I would splash him in the water and he would just laugh and laugh...I love my son so much, he makes life so wonderful! He was being such a good boy I told him we could have some ice cream, he was really excited. There is cute little ice cream shop right on the board walk so we enjoyed some ice cream together.

Concert... In downtown Pensacloa they always have these local bands play so my brothers and I went to Flouders to watch one of them. They were really awesome, they played all the classice 80's butt rock tunes...WOOT WOOT!
Sushi... I could not leave Florida with out going to the famous Dharma Blues Resturant and getting my fav in the whole world...Gush (thats its nick name)! Of course I had all the cook kind becasue that what I like. I went out with my sister Shannon and my bro's. We had a great time and stuffed ourselves silly!
Old Friends... The most ironic random thing happend while I was there. I used to cheer with this girl named Corina but in the middle of the season she moved to Texas with her family. I found out that she was living the Florida area where I was visiting so we got together with our kiddos. I had not seen her in about 7 years, since sophmore year in high school! Crazy huh? It was fun to catch up with her and to see what her life has been up to. She has 2 cute kids, Braylon and Liberty and she is expecting her third in October and it is going to be a suprise! We are about 6 weeks apart in our pregnancys. We ran errands togeteher just had a great girl time!
Wonderful Grandparents... I love my grandparents so much, they have done more for me then I could ever imagine. I want to thank God for letting me be their grandchild. They are very selfless and just darn good people. I hope I can repay them for as much as they have given me by living my life in the great way that they taught me. I appreciate them so much and I know sometimes I do not show it but I do. They mean so much to me and I am glad Trey has the oppritunity to know who they are becasue they are awesome! I love you guys!
Last dinner... I flew out around 5 pm so we decided to go out to dinner at this great mexican resturant. I was sad to leave because I had such a good time but I was ready to be with my hubby. I stuffed myself becuase I knew I would not get another meal. Trey ate good too. They had the prettiest water fountian in the resturant and I had to snap a photo.
I loved my vacation, all the sweating was totally worth it..haha! I hope we get to do another adventure with them soon, with Chris of course. I miss and love you guys so much, thanks for everything!

What a Nightmare!

Yesterday was one of the most SCARY days of my life. Saturday was the best day, Chris took the day off and we had a blast together as a family since Sunday I was supposed to be catching a flight back to Salt Lake. I really wanted to stay longer because we have decided that it would be the best for Chris to do the extended season of his job so we can have enough money for school. That would mean instead of him being done at the end of August he would not be done until the end of September, so we both wanted me to stay but it just was not in the budget so we decided I just better go home. I was really sad and depressed and I did not want to go and I just thinking about not getting on the plane! Well part of my wish came TRUE because I spent most of Sunday in the emergency room. Saturday I was feeling great but towards the night after dinner I got a little queasy, it got progressively worse and I ended up throwing up all night long with severe nausea and diarrhea. I vomited about 10 times and when it was early morning I just was throwing up yellow junk. It was so horrible and since I am 6 months pregnant there was really nothing I could take. I tried to keep fluids down but I was even throwing up the water I drank. Chris was trying to comfort me but he felt so bad because there was really nothing he could do for me. I don't get sick hardly at all and when I do I usually never vomit. I really feel that I brought the sickness on myself with all the traveling, being stressed about getting ready for grad school, and also being sad that I had to go back home because we did not have the money to change the ticket. Morning came and I was feeling lousy and around 8 am I started feeling really strong contractions that were about 5 min apart and I was not feeling out little man move anymore so I got really scared and so I called Mama C. to call her brother that was a doctor to see if there was anything he could prescribe for me to stop the pain, she told that he said I need to go to the hospital right away, Chris agreed. I was a little hesitant because I was just so scared about the baby. We had to borrow someones car because Casey was gone. Chris hurried and rounded up everything for me and Trey, by this time I was rolling on the floor just moaning because the contractions were so strong. I kept telling my self "Kerri you are strong and you are not going to have this baby today." In the back of my mind I was thinking the worst that if I were to go into labor that this baby would not have a high chance of survival! I prayed the whole way to the hospital and Chris just held my hand the entire way as I squeezed it tight every time I felt a contraction. We arrived at the emergency room and they had to admit me of course and that took forever, I was dying by this time! They told me that they were just going to admit me into labor and delivery! I was thinking NO I am not ready to have this baby! They had to bring a wheel chair because I was too weak to walk. Chris could not come with me because kids are not allowed in labor and delivery (stupid rule). We had to be separated so he just kissed my forehead and told me that he loved me and everything was going to be OK. Trey cried and cried and said, "no mama." I was in tears and just wanted the day to be over and for them to tell me that my little man was OK. They put me in a room and basically did everything to me like I was going to have the baby. I was scared but tried to be calm. They checked the baby and I was so happy when I heard the heart beat. I heard all his little movements and it was great. They said for how much fluid he is lacking he is sure a healthy active little boy. They told me I was contracting and that they were very strong because the baby was low on fluid which mean I basically was on my last limb. They gave me 2 bags of fluids and had to stick me 3 different time because they could not find a vein because I was so dehydrated so my hands are very swollen and all bruised up. They took lots of blood which almost made me pass out because since I already had lost so much fluid. They looked for any dilation and also gave me this test that says if I am in pre-term labor or not. They said I was not dilated at all and that the test came back great. The nurse let me use her phone so I could communicate back and forth with Chris what was going on. She was way awesome. The contractions slowly started decreasing and I was there for almost 4 hours. Before I left they checked me one more time (you gals no how bad it hurts when they check you)! They said everything look awesome and that I was lucky that I was a healthy women because it could of went bad very fast! The doc told me I had to take it easy, no lifting or exercising until I feel 100% better. I was completely exhausted because I had been up all night so I was ready to go home and sleep. Fee www what a day!
I am feeling much better. My tummy is still very tender from all the vomiting and I did not realize everything you use your stomach muscles for, sitting, standing, rolling over, and I still have a little diarrhea. Our magnetics are helping me heal much faster which I am truly thankful because the doc told me it would be about a week or two and I am already feeling 75% better. I am taking it easy and taking care of myself. All I have really gotten to eat are bananas, applesauce, crackers, toast, herbal tea, and yogurt for my meals. I can't wait until I get to eat some real food...haha, give me a break I am a pregnant women! I am so grateful for a awesome husband and a Heavenly Father that took care of me. Our little prince is doing great and kicking me like he playing soccer in there! The best thing out of all of this is that I get to stay longer with my husband. Delta is not going to charge us for a rescheduling fee which we had to fight them on but they will still charge us for a different ticket. Chris said I planned the whole thing or he poisoned my food just because he knew how bad I wanted to stay with him...haha! Looks like everything just worked out how it was supposed to minus the sickness and needles! I love husband and my boys so much and I am grateful everything turned out in our favor. I called it a nightmare because you know how when your having one you just want it to be over and when it is you are so grateful!

The Keystone State

I made it to Philly! I got in late Wednesday night. Trey had an OK plane ride, for both of my flights I had an empty seat so that made it nice. He was pretty much tired the whole day and teething so he was very cranky. I flew from Florida to Atlanta then to Pennsylvania. When I got to Atlanta my gate said B-6 but when I got there it said Washington. I was really confused so I looked on the TV screen where my flight was and it was not on there! I ran up to the ticket counter kinda panic and asked what was going on. They told me that my gate moved to A concord and that they were boarding right now and that I was not going to make it! I was thinking "your kidding me!" I was supposed to have an hour layover. I decided to just go for it and see if I could make it because I was not going to catch the next flight with an already overtired baby! I ran as fast as I could, I think people thought I was a crazy MOM...haha! When I got there I saw that they were flights attendants still there and I was relieved. I asked if I could still board the flight and they said, "yes mam you can." I was so thankful and knew that my Father in Heaven answered my prayers! When I got on plane I realized in the rush that I lost Treyson favorite blanket that he has been attached to since he was a newborn. I was a little discouraged and I top of all that I realized I left his lullaby in Florida, the two most important things for him while he is sleeping! I just took a deep breath and just said..."I can get through this night!" The flight was short and sweet besides when I had to go to the bathroom and Treyson insisted that he went with. It was nice when a friendly flight passenger offered to help. I just wanted the flight to be over so I could see my HUBBY! When the flight was over I was sitting towards the front so I was one of the first people off, which did not matter anyways because I had to wait for my stroller. I was really anxious and wanted them to hurry. My stroller came up and I hurried and unfolded it with one arm and got Trey buckled in and off we went. It was not long and I saw Chris in the distance so I started to walk faster, I finally reached him and he gave the longest hug and kisses ever! Trey was so happy he just smiled the whole time and said, "Dadeee!" He knew who is daddy was and I was so thrilled to be together again. Our bags came up fast which was good because Casey was waiting for us. They informed me they did not have any groceries so we decided to got to Wal-Mart. Trey crashed in the car seat so we just put him in the basket with blankets to sleep. I did not think he would stay asleep but he did until we went to check out. Trey ended up sleeping with us that night because he was just so tired and did not have any of his "comforts" to soothe him. It was a long night but I was just happy to be with my wonderful husband again. He is such a great man and I just love him more everyday. I think he was really surprised when he saw me because I was skinny the last time! He loved my belly and told me that he had missed us so much! Ahhh BLISS! Mama C. text me and asked if I was in Heaven with my hunny and I told her I was in the Celestial Kingdom! I will be here until the 26th of this month. It will be an exciting 2 weeks. Well that is all for now, I will have updates and pictures as soon as I return home.
