WE DID IT!!!

After long hours of debating, consulting, and prayer we FINALLY DID IT!
We launched our new Wellness Blog!
I have been really thrilled about it for a while and it was initially one of my personal progress projects. I fought back and fourth with myself because I did not want people to think that I "know" it all because I don't. I say "we" because I could not do it with out my husband. This is something we do together since we both have a passion for health and wellness. He comes home with awesome knowledge and has some great ideas to post. I am always digging and looking things up that I want to learn more about so I can share them with everyone. This is our personal quest for a better way to health and wellness, fitness, healthy smiley children, a loving home, life-long education of wellness, a purpose driven life, and so many other wonderful things. We are just simply putting it out there in hopes that our obsessive research and discoveries can and will benefit more than just us! I am excited to share my somewhat made up healthy recipes, Chris will be sharing his workout longs, and we both will try to contribute to build a healthy world one person at a time. We are still working out the kinks. Chris's blogging skills are merely just knowing how to post something and I am working on trying to make our blog look great and be user friendly for everyone. I am learning to do "how to" videos and when we can get our camera working right they will be really fun to do. I want people to know that they might not agree with everything we do or post on our blog because we are pretty darn "crunchy" people but we have learned that having an open mind about health and wellness has taken us farther then we ever expected.
We call our blog...
Because it is a journey, it's a ride. Everyday. When we gain wisdom we get further along the path of Wellness which in turn takes us to a healthy happy place where we and therefore everyone wants to be.
So become a follower on our blog and like us on facebook. We want to do giveaways, contest, and so much more but you need so many people to do all these fun things. Invite your friends and come along for the healthiest ride our your life!
Another "WE DID IT!" moment took place last month as well. We have been wanting to start a Wellness Group or association here in the Quad Cities like we had in Logan. It's been a long time coming but we finally made it happen. I feel like we lost our momentum when we moved out here because of all the crazy things that happened but now our momentum is moving at turbo speed..LOL! We now conduct seminars once or twice a week and so many great things are happening! We have outstanding guest speakers come from all over to educate us. We are so blessed to be apart of the Quad City Wellness Association (QCWA). We love working for Nikken and also to be partnered with a awesome store like Heritage Natural Foods.  It could not be more perfect and this is exactly how I imagined it. We wanted it to be at a health food store, we wanted to create an association, and WE DID IT!!! We are still working on our website, advertising, and much more but all of our goals are coming into play. We have great plans for the year 2011. It is amazing to see peoples lives be transformed and we are so thankful for all the knowledge we are gaining in this journey. We could not be more grateful. It just goes to show that when you shoot for dreams BIG things can happen:) It's only Monday so cheers to a healthy week folks!

**SNOWED IN**

Yes it is true...MORE SNOW!
Lots more, 12-13 inches more of really cold white snow. This was considered to be the biggest blizzard in the Quad Cities since the 70's. The wind gust got up to 40mph last night which made some pretty big snow drifts. The snow was so deep that we we are literally snowed in as we speak. Everything is closed down and temperatures are supposed to drop even more. Our yard was really a sight to see.
Chris had quite the shoveling job ahead of him and Trey helped of course. Even after all that shoveling unless some melts or our roads get plowed we will still be stuck.  Cars were getting stuck left and right today, it was insane.
Jax was having a blast in the snow, he was jumping all in the piles that Chris made. His poor whiskers, eyelashes, and nostrils were frozen and had little ice chunks forming on them. LOL, he did not even care and it was pretty funny how he blended into the snow.
Treyson enjoyed eating the snow again and we even taught him about the "yellow" snow. Ha, he is such a character!
He was having such a blast running though the path that Chris shoveled. He called them "tunnels of snowing!" It was freezing and he was covered in snow. This kids is crazy!
When we got inside the coldness started to set in I think and his little runny nose and cheeks were so cute. All he wanted was to be wrapped up in his blanket for a while to stay warm.
I made him and Daddy some hot chocolate, chicken noodle soup, and grilled cheese sandwiches. This is a must for snow day and it always warms you right up.
Porter finally decided to wake up and was his happy little self. He probably smelt the food knowing him!
This storm has made Chris miss school for 2 days which is so nice. It so awesome to have him home during the day, in the middle of the week, and to spend some quality time together. I guess these cold "snow days" aren't so bad after all:)

Wrapping up January

It is seriously the last day in Jan, wow time goes by so quickly. January has been a busy but pretty fun month for us.
We got to open more presents. Grandma Price sent her traditional package to the kids.
She got them each a stuffed animal that had a recording in it of her voice singing to them. They are so cute and the boys love them.
Treyson's says, "Twinkle Treyson handsome star, grandma loves you has you are!"
Porters says, "Grandma loves Porter, he loves me..in our happy Price Family!"
Of course books too, our boys always love new books for story time.
The boys are also loving their new small table that my Nan got them. They love that they can sit up like big boys now even though I still put Porter in the High Chair sometimes.
They have this new toy that is super fun. It has all the alphabet and they can put it into this little box and build words, learn the letters, and also sing their abc's. Very good toy and keeps them occupied for a very long time.
Oh yes and we can not forget that Treyson is a Sunbeam!!! I am not sure if he is ready to be in primary but he loves it.  He is learning a lot despite that he is probably the most rowdiest child in there...LOL. He is their youngest sunbeam but where his birthday fell he moved forward with the other children who turned 3 in the year 2010. My little boy is growing up...sniff sniff!
Porter is getting so big. 15 months old soon enough. He has mastered eating with a spoon and loves to feed himself, in fact he insist that he does it and not me. I swear this child can eat me out of house and home with the food he puts down...LOL!
Martin Luther King day this month was really fun. There was a big snow storm the night before so we went and played out in the white fluff!
Treyson was all bundled up ready to go and was just checking out all the snow fall.
 We had fun playing together!
He also loved eating the snow...LOL! I swear he at about pound of it.
He even helped Daddy shovel the all of the snow. What a good helper we have on our hands.
We built mini snowman's. At the end of doing this Treyson said, "He needs a hat mommy, its cold!" LOL, so we have him a little snow hat.
Trey and Daddy made snow angles.
You probably wondering what happened to Porter. He was napping through half of the snow fun but woke up so we let him have some playing time too.
He was not sure how he felt about the cold snow. He tried tasting it but just stuck out his tongue like now way!! This s technically his first time in the snow because the last time he was just a newborn.
Porter just loved walking about in the snow, he kept falling over because of how bundled up he was.  he was like a big marshmallow, literally with snow all over him.
It was seriously so cold outside but it was still so super fun for the boys.
Daddy and Trey got in to a snowball fight and Treyson smoked him...LOL!
YAY for MLK SNOW Day!!!
Here some footage of the snow adventure...
That night we had the missionaries over for dinner. We had a MLK day theme. When Chris and I were dating this was a yearly tradition amongst his friends. Very funny and a good time. Chris was scheduled to go on splits with them that night anyways so it worked out perfect. My shirt was awesome...100% Mormon Chick and a BMW (Beautiful Mormon Women). This is how we roll!
Last but not least we were pretty saddened by the playoffs. Our Bears lost..BOO! We had some yummy food though and our must have IBC's! We look forward to the Superbowl even though we dislike both teams that are in it.
That pretty much wraps up the month of January for the Price Fam.
