Worlds best DAD and HUSBAND award

Goes to...
Christian Bott Price

As of today he has literally done it ALL!
He is playing both Mom and Dad role right now and I know it has not been easy on him, plus not to mention all the studying, and other behind the scenes things he has done.
He has taken care of me and everything without one complaint.
I am so grateful to have a husband and father to my children like him.

He even finds time to read to our children still.  The boys love story time with daddy.  It is just not the same when Mommy does it.  Daddy is the best on bringing the story really alive and making it fun for the boys.
Trey adores him and thinks he is a "jungle gym! "They are so like father like son.  Chris likes to eat in front of the TV and so does Trey.  Not my favorite trait but I sure do love them both.

Porter also enjoys his daddy.  Chris can get him to laugh so hard and their favorite game is "patty cake!"

I love all 3 MEN in my life.  They make life worth while especially when I feel like scum!  Thank you boys for your sweet faces....just one look of them makes me smile!

Things have been rough around here lately.  I am getting better, slowly but surely. My adjustments are having a hard time holding but everyday I seem to improve.  Things are different when Dad is in charge...
The kids have not had a bath in a week
the house is a wreck
nothing is really done....
Hey I am not complaining, we are happy to be growing through this together.
Chris true colors have shined through this reckless week of ours.
It just goes to show how loyal, loving, and Christlike he is really is.
I know its wearing on him but he has such a positive attitude about it all.
Even when things are not getting better he shows me how they are and for that I am thankful.
He gave me the sweetest blessing of comfort and I am so grateful for the priesthood in our home.
(This is what the boys look like after a week of dads care the "morning scruff"...snot nose, dirty, but happy kids)

My Christian seriously deserves a reward.  I hope he knows how much I love and appreciate him for all he does so generously for me and our family.  I don't know where I would be with out my better half, my "love of a lifetime," and my Hercules HERO!
I love you babe!
The best DAD/HUSSBAND award belongs to you!
PS.  Thanks for finally giving my pathetic self a bath, I really needed it!

Rewind {August Palmer Homecoming}

First before I begin with the rewind I just want to let you know that now they are telling me I don't have viral meningitis because my white blood cell count was on the boarder line so they just told me that to make a quick diagnosis because lots of it has been going around.  Was I really poked in the back 5 times just for them to tell me now that they dont really know?  Seriously!  My chiropractor thinks its nothing to do with meningitis.  He took a series of x-rays and told me that my sacrum (where your hips meet you back) was tilted causing everything to compromise.  He reminded me that it is healthy to get sick sometimes and is good for our immune system.  I just know after I see him I can sleep and my migraine goes away.  It comes and goes and the only thing that comforts me is my magnetic sleep system.  This is the only place I can be to hold a conversation, feel somewhat human, and even write to you.  Today was the first day I could hold food down for 24 hours which is good.  I am getting re-evaluated in a couple days by the doctor.  They did say that since I caught it so early that maybe it was just the early signs of meningitis not full blown viral.  Who knows...everyone knows how I feel about the "sick care system" even though I know we have them for a reason they just never can get things right.  Anyways now on to the fun stuff....

Palmer Homecoming 2010

Homecoming week is so much fun here at Palmer.  Instead of focusing on per-say a football game it is all focused on Chiropractic.  They have a series of seminars that the students and wives can take on all types of wellness topics not just Chiropractic.  I did not go to the seminars since I was still nursing and you can't bring kids this year but I think next year I will.  I went to most everything but this year was mostly focused on Christians Rugby Team since they celebrated their 50 year mark this year.  We spent most of our Homecoming with the Ruggers.  This was a huge milestone for Palmer Rugby and we had alumni come from all over the world which was amazing.  We kicked off homecoming at a fun yacht club with a live band and some yummy finger food.  Ruby players are some hilarious people to hang around and we had a good time...plus this was like a date night for us because we did not have the kiddos with us.  They got a new player this year from South Korea that does not know much English.  He chose his American name as Bryan because its easier then his real name..LOL, he such a nice guy and comments on how great he felt our relationship was. We did not stay the whole night because we had company coming to stay with us.  The Henze's came to stay with us from doing summer sales in Tennessee.  They will start Palmer in March.  We loved hosting them even though out schedules were very different.  We had fun playing games and catching up at night.
The next night was the Rugby Banquet where Chris would be honored with his final four jacket.  It was raining horribly so we played in it for a little bit.  Good thing the Pulous's let us barrow their umbrellas!
The banquet hall was decorated awesome.  Around the perimeter they had every decade displayed of the Rugby teams and highlights from that 10 years.  It was really amazing.  The old jackets they used to wear were classic.  It was really was also really amazing just to see how far the Palmer Rugby Team has really come and how much heritage they have with the College of Chiropractic.  The theme was "Palmer College of Chiropractic, Proudly Celebrating 50 years!"  The Rugby motto is, "Promoting Chiropractic through athletic excellence!"
I was sure a proud wife of my RUGGER!!  I am so thankful that he gets to play something he absolutley loves along with studying something he is so passionate for!

Christian looked so handsome in his new anniversary and final four jacket.  I know I am bias but he is the most delicious guy on the team! I know he felt so honored when the President of the University, Dr. Marchiori gave him his jacket.  His eyes lite up and you could just tell how honored he was to be apart of such a great organization!
The next morning was the ICAA Tea Party.  They honored women in Chiropractic and gave away a couple of awards.  I did not get to pay attention that much because Porter was all over the place but it was the cutest set up in the world and the little I did hear I enjoyed.  Trey loved the cake-pops they made...YUM!
After that was the rugby game and boy was it HOT outside.  Chris could not play he probably wont be able to until fall season with is arm which is a bummer but it still fun to watch.  We ended up not staying for it all because the sun was too unbearable.  I got the kids some snow cones to cool them off and Porter fell in love with a rugby ball for the first time!
A couple days later even though it was not part of Homecoming it felt like it, we had the Palmer Wives Graduation.  It was really bitter sweet, we were all sad they were leaving but so excited for the new chapters in their lives.  Meleasa Stewart, Sara Kerrigan, and Robyn Sheppro will be leaving us soon and I have to say that I am sad.  All of these women have touch my life in one way or another and they will be missed!  I am just so jealous that soon enough they will be saying, "I am a Chiropractors wife" instead of "I am a Palmer wife!"  Congrats girlies!
Well that pretty much sums up the homecoming rewind....

and goodbyes!
Have a great weekend everyone and pray that my husband and kids can have their wife and mommy back.

UGH!!!

I have been very ill lately. It started on Friday and my illness got progressively worse by Sunday night. I have had a migraine for over 48 hours, weakness, dizziness, vomiting, hallucinations, weak breathing, and sore neck and head.  After all of that I knew something was wrong and the spirit kept telling me I needed to go to the hospital.  I waited until morning and the only thing that kept me comfortable was all my magnetics things, they relaxed my body enough so I did not feel like I was going to pass out.  I seriously felt like I was going into a small coma or something at times. Anyways we went to the ER and they had said how there has been 1 in 4 people coming in with meningitis so therefore they wanted to check me for that since I had all the symptoms.  They took lots of blood, had me on IV's because I could not eat or take anything by mouth, and they did a spinal tap which they had to poke me 5 times to get it right...ugh, very annoying! Well the results came back border line of meningitis and that it was viral not bacterial which was good. Viral just means that it is like the flu and something my body will fight off on its own and that I would not need a prescription. Also, can someone please tell me why they have to take your vitals on the same arm your IV is on?  Seriously, that hurts worse then anything!  They told me I should be lucky that I take care of my body the way I do because if not this could have been a lot more serious.  Viral Meningitis can be serious if it is not treated right away and they most likely feel it came from a mosquito bite since they are seeing so many cases of it.  Bacterial meningitis is totally different and a lot more serious so I am thankful I did not have that yet.  If I would not have caught it as early as I did it might have been that.  Chris was with me the whole way and even cheered me up by telling me how sexy I looked in the hospital gown and how he wanted me to take it home with us that night.  He said, "not every girl can pull off looking sexy in a hospital gown!" Ha, I love him and it did cheer me up because I was feeling like road kill!  Let me remind you that I have been vaccinated for meningitis and I still got it but that is another story in itself.  So I guess I want to tell you to wear bug spray whenever you can!  The last 2 days have been the worst ever.  I could not breastfeed Porter for over 12 hours and that did not go over well with him.  I can not lift anything so Trey is getting no attention from me and Chris has missed the last 2 days of school. Chris has been so awesome to me and he gave me the sweetest blessing which brought me so much comfort.  I have had so many people helping with the kids and meals which has been so helpful...so thank you everyone! I finally got to get into the Chiropractor today and WHEW I feel about 60% better.  I told him I could not go one more day with this pain or I would commit suicide and he gave me a series of adjustments to help my immune system.  I am feeling so much better, I can at least sit up and stand up with out falling over.  He said I would get better ever day and by the weekend I should probably be myself.  The doctor today was even impressed on how my recovery was going so thank you Dr. Burt!  I still can't do much just sit and be lazy so here I am writing to you.  This will be an excuse to catch up on all the August happenings. Until then I am off to bed.  Good Night!
